Garlic Butter Noodles

Eight minutes, four ingredients, and better than it has any right to be.

12 min Easy Vegetarian

Ingredients

  • 200g noodles or spaghetti
  • 10 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes
  • Spring onion
  • Cheese or fried egg on top

Method

  1. Boil the noodles, save a mug of the water.
  2. Butter on LOW, garlic in. Cook until pale gold and fragrant, 3 minutes. Burnt garlic ruins it.
  3. Chilli flakes, soy sauce, a big splash of noodle water.
  4. Noodles in, toss hard till the sauce clings.
  5. Spring onion, cheese, or a runny fried egg on top.
