Questions people ask about French Dressing

How long does French Dressing take?

About 15 minutes from starting to sitting down, and it is straightforward. That is start-to-finish, so it works on a weeknight when you have not planned anything.

What can I use instead of tomato in French Dressing?

Use canned chopped tomatoes, roughly 1 can per 4 fresh. Add a pinch of sugar to offset the acidity.

Can I make French Dressing ahead of time?

Yes, and it is better for it. Cool it fully, refrigerate for up to three days, and reheat gently with a splash of water. The flavours settle overnight.

Is French Dressing vegetarian?

Yes, and as written it is vegan too. Check your specific brands if that matters to you.

How long does home-made french dressing keep?

About a week in a sealed bottle in the fridge. It separates as it sits, which is normal — shake it hard before each use.
